Little Windy Hill Farm

Why the name? Because all of our animals are small, it seems to always be windy - and we invite you to watch us grow, little by little...

Field Trips...

We LOVE our field trips! It is so fun and special to see the kids learning things about the farm and getting to experience a farm first hand. The smiles, the statements of "This is the best day ever" and seeing the kids fall in love with the animals is so amazing.
They love to explore and play in our silo, get hands on with our old time wash board and line station, playing barn yard bean bag toss and learning to rope a practice calf.
We are still growing and adding farm yard stations as the months go by so who knows what will be added by the time that you come and visit us!

For our field trips, if we are working with younger children then time spent in the barn prior to visiting the animals consists of a few farm based story books, some question and answer time and fun facts about the animals.
For the older kids we usually open up with question and answer time, and then a fun farm fact filled interactive game the kids really enjoy, then for both groups they get handed a feed cup and allowed free time with the animals to enjoy and visit.

Our field trips are available for booking and can be for public school, daycares, summer camps, moms morning out, homeschoolers or any playgroup or group you would like to book. A popular thing for them is having a group picnic while kids continue to play and enjoy their time. We are not a HUGE venue with picking fields and corn mazes, but we are just the right size for more one on one hands on time with the animals and time spent together.

Goat Yoga...

Who doesn't like yoga?
Okay, what about adding in some sweet cuddly goats?
Then you have come to the right place! Come out and try something new, or come to another goat yoga session here on the farm if you have tried it before. Christy Rahall with Christ Centered Yoga (find her on FB under that) is our in-house yoga instructor. Christy is beyond sweet and knows our goats well and knows how best to interact with them during the yoga sessions. She does a full hour of yoga with a refreshing and very enjoyed lavender cloth at the end during savasana that even the goats are starting to enjoy and wind down with the groups when those rags come out!
It is a well enjoyed event held here on the farm and everyone leaves with a smile and fun memories made.
To book a goat yoga event, we like to have at least 10, no more than 13 for a private group or you can always follow along on the Farm Facebook page for when we announce our public yoga events.
Prior sign up and payment is necessary.
